The Washington Nationals have acquired Minnesota Twins closer Brandon Kintzler, according to multiple reports.
In return, the Twins received left-hander Tyler Watson from Washington, according to MLB.com.
Kintzler, 32, a first-time All-Star this season, is 2-2 with a 2.78 ERA and 28 saves this season.
Watson, 24, is 0-1 with a 4.43 ERA in two stops in the Nationals' system. He is currently at Clinton, Washington's Class A affiliate in the Midwest League.
