Jimmy Rollins' All-Time Phillies Hit Record Leaves Lasting Legacy, HOF Debate | Bleacher Report

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is now the all-time hit king in franchise history, surpassing Mike Schmidt with career hit No. 2,235 on Saturday afternoon against Cubs starter Edwin Jackson. After 15 years of borderline Hall of Fame-caliber play, the best shortstop in the history of Philadelphia now has the number to cement his legacy.

In my opinion he falls short of HOF.
I collect a little bit of everything. But, if I never get back to you, your probably on Ignore!!

I am a phillies fan and I would say no.

Favorite football players include: Peyton Manning, John Elway, Daunte Culpepper, Mike Alstott, Blake Bortles, and Dri Archer

        No. Doesn't have the numbers.

The thing that will hold him back is the fact that he had 2 or 3 HOF type years and then a bunch of others where he did fine in certain areas (such as hitting some homers, but having a low BA or getting some hits but single digits in dingers, etc.) He has the longevity with one team going for him, but there are a bunch of players I would put in before him. He can make it in the Hall of Good Players with people like Jim Rice and Joe Carter, but not in the HOF.
