SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington apologized Wednesday for using cocaine and testing positive during the 2009 season.

This came out of no where... Surprised it took this long to come out since it happened last season.

Well the team is obviously supporting him, considering they have known this since he contacted MLB after the all star break

I don't agree with it at all, if I was a ranger fan I would be fuming

Maybe they feel that since Josh Hamilton got a 2nd chance, why not Washington?

It's still different, though. Hamilton's drug problem forced him out of baseball for, what, 5-6 years?

Apparently 'MLB manager of the Texas Rangers' is the only job in this entire world that you could test positive for cocaine and keep your job.....
