  • Wholesaler?

Obviously I wouldn't ask anyone to post specifics publicly in the forum, so feel free to PM me with specifics, but we're doing to shopping around for a new wholesaler/supplier. Ours is becoming less and less reliable and reasonable. Just wondering who some of you use. Thanks in advance.

DA Card World, Blowout or Atlanta Sports Cards

I didn't think Blowout was technically a wholesaler since it's open to the public and they don't have any verification process.

They're all 3 wholesalers. They sell directly to the customer. Unless you have a contract to buy directly from Topps, Upper Deck, etc. ( and a huge amount of expendable cash), that's the way to purchase. Or pay more at a retail store; whether it's your LCS or a Target, Wal-Mart, etc. Prior to the internet, for my shop, I had contracts with Topps, Donruss and Upper Deck. That required buying huge amounts. With the advent of the internet, a lot of wholesalers sprung up.

I think if they don't require a verification and/or state resale #, they're not going to wholesale to you.

You're missing the point, they're not wholesalers in the sense of what wholesalers used to be, but that is what wholesalers have become. You can buy a box or a case from Blowout at a competitive price. Try buying that 1 box or case from Topps direct and you'll pay more for it. Topps just doesn't sell direct anymore. I say this with confidence because the biggest case breaker out there, brentandbecca, buys from Atlanta Sports Cards. He breaks hundreds of cases of Topps products every year. If he could get a better deal from Topps, don't you think he would go that route? Also, with Topps cutting production, I doubt Topps keeps much in stock.

I'm just trying to help. If you don't believe me, Google "wholesale sports cards" and see what the results are.

I totally get what you're saying and I'm not trying to be a dick about it.

I'm just looking to discuss true wholesalers...those who do not sell to the public like DA, Blowout, etc. The ones who require a B&M location. Unfortunately I can't publicly say who we use currently.
