    Great game last night. Royals win game against A's to advance to playoffs.

    Giants shut out Pirates tonight to advance to playoffs.

      Interesting how they changed the wild card round. I didn't like the fact that the wild card winner used to have pretty much the same chances as a divisional winner. However, this format really makes it life or death. I would have thought they would have done a 3 game series first before going from 7 games down to 1.
      Favorite baseball players include: Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Kirby Puckett, Pete Rose, Tyler Colvin Mark Appel
      Favorite football players include: Peyton Manning, John Elway, Daunte Culpepper, Mike Alstott, Blake Bortles, and Dri Archer
      Collecting: 2012 Topps Mini 1987 topps... non-certified autos (in person or through the mail), autographed cards with bible verses

        It was the same as last year. It's called a "wildcard play-in" game. Same format that the NCAA uses in March Madness.

                  The "Birds" swept the Tigers !!! And they did it without Davis. The reason for their success -their starting pitchers have improved, the bullpen is the BEST in MLB, their defense is one of the very best in MLB, and they have the best variety of players in MLB they can start and still have a very vey very good chance of winning. I don't know of any other MLB team currently that can claim all of those items. Hopefully now they'll be able to win the A L Championship, and go on to the W S (and hopefully win that too).

                    Orioles swept Tigers to win their series.

                    Even though the game is still in progress, its basically over. Royals swept Angels to win their series.

                          Oh well, no BELT WAY series between the "Birds" & "Nats". Hopefully the "Birds" will still be able to fly into the 2014 W S.
