The Chicago White Sox have reached agreement on a one-year, guaranteed $4 million contract with veteran utilityman Emilio Bonifacio, a baseball source confirmed to ESPN.com.
Bonifacio will make a guaranteed $3 million in 2015, the source said. The deal includes a $4 million club option for 2016 with a $1 million buyout.
Bonifacio, 29, is a .262 hitter with 164 stolen bases over eight seasons with Miami, Arizona, Kansas City, Atlanta, the Cubs, Washington and Toronto.
