The Miami Marlins and outfielder Christian Yelich have agreed to a seven-year deal worth $49.5 million, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
The deal also includes a club option for an eighth year, according to reports.
Yelich, 23, emerged as one of Miami's top young players last season, batting .284 with nine home runs and 54 RBIs.
A first-round pick in 2013, Yelich is part of a talented Marlins outfield that also includes All-Star slugger Giancarlo Stanton and 24-year-old Marcell Ozuna.
