The St. Louis Cardinals have traded Julio Lugo to the Baltimore Orioles for a player to be named later or cash. Lugo was always a decent shortstop, just overpaid. Baltimore will be paying only $400,000 of Lugo's contract, Boston is paying $8.6 million of Lugo’s $9 million salary this season from their trade to the Cardinals last season. Not a bad trade for the Orioles.
