This is probably the worst kind of joke you can play on a ball player. Joe Torre told Blake Dewitt he is being sent down to the minors to start the season, when he actually won the opening day second baseman spot.

The worst I've heard is when Brett Myers played a prank on Kyle Kendrick and told him he was traded to Japan.. He had Charlie Manuel, the Gm, the media, and the whole team in on it.. priceless
