Rangers place Saltalamacchia on DL

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia was placed on the disabled list Thursday with stiffness in his left upper back.

At least they have a decent backup in Teagarden to play in Jarrod's absence.
