I thought it was bad for Vasquez to return to the AL... He was very underrated in the NL but now he plays in that small field in New York now. Won't help out much.

Vasquez didnt have a good stint with the Yanks a few seasons ago.

VaZquez actually had a good first year but was hurt the second half but pitched through it because the Yankees needed him.. That being said I didn't want him on the team because I just don't think he was that good.. He owns a career ERA over 4.00 in the AL and NL.. He had what I would call a lucky year last year as his HR% and extra base hit% were way down from his normal career averages.. His sub 3 era was really just a product of not giving up as many extra base hits.. Kind of like the way JA Happ's low ERA was a product of an unusually low BABIP and runner stranded rate..

He may be a decent 4th or 5th starter on SOME AL team but not the Yankees..
