Way too soon to sit him, but if he does continue to struggle, why not give Mike Lowell another chance to hit.

Maybe give Varitek playing time and Victor Martinez can DH.

This was brought up last season too, but if you take out the first 2 months of last season, Ortiz had a good year.

But he's a year older and if other guys can produce then you gotta play them

I dont know what the deal is.. but you cannot give away outs.... I would at least platoon him and give lowell a shot against lefties.
