  • Eric Gagne Retires

LOS ANGELES -- Eric Gagne, whose legacy as the greatest closer in Los Angeles Dodgers history was sullied somewhat when his name appeared in the Mitchell report on performance-enhancing drug use in baseball, has decided to retire less than a month after failing in his comeback bid with the club as a non-roster invitee to spring training.

I remember going to the games and watching him pitch, he was great for the span of his consecutive save record. Steroids or not lol

            Well, let's see...

25 players on an MLB roster. 30 teams. That equals 750 players.

I've yet to hear more than maybe 2 or 3 bad stories about MLB guys this season. So what's that equal out to? 747 of the 750 acting 'positive'.

You can congratulate Cantu on breaking a record, but seems like you only post in the threads because "You don't like the player"

"Game Over" was an awesome dude, that saves record was pretty nuts. I wish him well.

Do you have a personal beef with every professional sports player?

                    And it's Thank God.

Eric Gagne was an elite closer. It sucks that he got injured and was never the same after that.
