Found another funny quote from Hoopsworld in regards to free agency signings. This one deals with the Minnesota Timberwolves and their signing of Darko Milicic.
Darko Milicic: Unbelievably, David Khan signed Darko to a four-year deal worth $20 million (or $10 million for each double-double he recorded last season) on July 8th when the league moratorium ended. (Unfortunately for T-Wolves fans, there is no moratorium on David Khan making unfathomable contract offerings.) Best tweet regarding this signing: "Khan just wanted to be the first GM to sign a top-5 pick from the 2003 draft class." Khan's pickup of Michael Beasley was a good move, but the Darko signing is indefensible.
