The New York Post is reporting that Wally Szczerbiak turned down a 1 year contract worth the veteran's minimum from the Denver Nuggets.

He already got his huge contract when Kevin McHale overpaid him so money shouldnt be an issue. I dont think any team will pay him the mid level exception, the best he can hope for is the bi annual exception or the veteran's minimum. Considering it was a team as good as the Nuggets offering him that contract, he probably should have taken it.
