I attended the game earlier today. Watching my favorite team play against the most exciting player in the NBA right now, Blake Griffin.
Exciting game from start to finish.
The Lakers went into the game with a 7 game win streak while the Clippers just lost to the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
Kobe scored 27 points, with 9 rebounds and added 5 assists. But he shot 1-7 from behind the arc.
Blake Griffin had 14 straight games with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds but that was snapped when he was ejected in the 4th quarter with only 18 points. He did extend his double-double streak to 26 games. The Lakers held Griffin to only 2 points in the 1st half.
Lamar Odom and Blake Griffin got tied up at the end of the game after a free throw shot was made. Baron Davis came over and pushed Odom. This is when things escalated and the referees went to the video screen to hand out ejections/technical fouls.
Odom, Artest, Griffin and Davis were all ejected from the game. The Clipper fans started chanting "Lakers suck". The Lakers are only 14.5 games ahead of the Clippers with half of the season left.
Key Numbers:
30 points for Eric Gordon
27 points for Kobe Bryant
26 straight double-doubles for Blake Griffin
15 rebounds each for Blake Griffin & DeAndre Jordan
13 rebounds for Andrew Bynum
5 technical fouls (Bynum, Odom, Artest, Griffin, Davis)
Box Score: Lakers 92 Clippers 99
