The Lakers went into Charlotte losing 7 out of their last 9 games against the Bobcats. The Lakers were also 9-1 in the second game of a back-to-back.
1st Quarter
Lakers still looked tired from yesterday's game against the Orlando Magic. Kwame Brown had 4 points and 5 rebounds in the first quarter. Gasol and Bynum were both 3-for-5 from the field with 6 points each to finish the quarter.
Bobcats led 24-22.
2nd Quarter
The Bobcats played the entire second quarter with a decent lead. The most they led by were 11 points until the Lakers closed out the half on a 5-0 run.
Lakers had 8 turnovers in Orlando yesterday and finished with 8 turnovers in the first half of tonight's game.
Bobcats led 49-43.
Third Quarter
Lakers had a horrible third quarter and let the Bobcats control the pace of the game. Gerald Wallace hit a buzzer beater to end the third.
Bobcats led 78-60.
Fourth Quarter
The Lakers started the fourth quarter with 5 fouls in the first 70 seconds. Kobe was frustrated the entire night. No one played defense in the fourth with allowed the Bobcats to extend the lead to 28 points.
The Lakers bench played extremely well to end the game. Derrick Character and Devin Ebanks were getting to their rebounds and making the best of their opportunity.
Lakers need some rest. They have been a combined 4-for-31 from beyond the arc in their 2 losses during the road trip. Good thing All-Star break starts on Wednesday night after the Cavs game.
