Basketball Card Auction For How Much???

I seem to find a lot of these types of auctions every week. This card is a 97-98 Metal Universe Kobe Bryant Precious Metal Gems numbered out of 100. Beckett book value as of the August 2011 issue was $600. I know sometimes these rare hard to find cards go for up to double what the book value is for, but look at what the asking price is for this card?

It's green parallel (10 of the 100 were green, 90 red) and jersey numbered too. Probably seeking best offer they can get. Awesome card, love the PMG's myself
