I will make this final point or two about the kobe rape thing:

    1. If I had all the money in the world, I would not let someone accuse me of rape if I didnt do it.. I would go to the end of the earth to prove my innocence

    2. If I was dirt poor, and someone raped someone in my family, I would do all I could to ensure she did what was necessary to imprison that person for such a crime..

    3. Everyone basically seems to assume that OJ murdered his wife, yet Kobe is innocent? OJ was basically not guilty in a court of law, while Kobe paid off a money grubbing attention grabbing piece of white trash?

Larry Bird would be nothing in todays game of basketball. He wasn't that good just played on a team that was very good. I'm not saying he was awful, just not as great as everyone saw him. I can make cases for lots of players with just as much success so underrated.

If your suggesting that McHale, Parish, Walton, Ainge, and Johnson are all better than Larry Bird then I don't know what to think

Just my humble opinion, but I think Larry Bird is the second best Celtics player of all time (Bill Russell). I might be skipping somebody that I wasn't thinking of but Larry Bird was better than all of those guys you mentioned imo.

I agree with Frank McDee on the Kobe thing. Too many of these stupid overpaid players can pay anyone off, and never go to jail or anything. What a joke!

To address the Kobe issue, the girl was 18 i believe or atleast "legal" do you honestly think KOBE BRYANT would need to rape someone when he has the ability to get with almost any girl he pleases? Clearly the girl was just after his money and he didnt want to have the distraction so he paid her off, now people like Kobe now more than ever

gladdy: who is to say he can have "anyone"? I know someone who shot down Magic Johnson in his prime.... Is it far fetched to say that she went to his room, didnt want to go as far as he did, and he forced himself on her? Are any modern day great athletes accustomed to hear the word no? Again, if I had all of Kobes money, I would take on that distraction rather than let speculation run rampant... an innocent man with all the legal advantages of wealth should have an easy time proving his innocense.

i was generalizing it, he is Kobe, for the most part when he wants something he could get it, i just dont see him raping someone when he can get so many other good looking women

                                1. Stephon Marbury - This guy needs counseling.
                                2. Stephen Jackson – He screwed the Golden State Warriors!
                                3. Allen Iverson - It has nothing to do with his skills, I just can't stand his personality.
                                4. Sasha Vujacic - Loved Phil's off-season comment.
                                5. Rasheed Wallace – NBA’s biggest crybaby.
