  • 'Lakers Team Up' Coming In November

EL SEGUNDO – The Los Angeles Lakers have announced the launch of “Lakers Team Up”, the organization’s employee service campaign, and part of the team’s continuing drive to be champions on the court and in the community.

Starting in November, all Lakers employees including head coach Mike Brown and his staff, General Manager Mitch Kupchak and the Laker Girls will be teaming up with national and community organizations such as Volunteers of America, the LA Food Bank, Heal the Bay, US Vets and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and will participate in various events and activities throughout Los Angeles. Some of the scheduled events include: assembling and distributing care packages for the homeless, preparing and serving food to senior citizens and cleaning up local beaches. Lakers Team Up events will touch everything from homelessness to education to environmental clean-up.

“We’ve always received such great support from the Los Angeles community,” said Lakers Senior Vice President of Business Operations/CMO Tim Harris. “With the “Team Up” initiative we have the opportunity to give something back to the community by helping out various organizations that service many of our loyal fans.”

The events will take place on days in which the Lakers were scheduled to play home games at STAPLES Center, as well as additional dates throughout the year.
