  • Future NBA Trades You Want To See Happen

I started this thread so everyone can give their opinion on what future NBA trades that you want to see happen. It can be for any of the 30 NBA teams.

Obviously, this is just your opinion and what trades that you would would like to see happening. Please try to be realistic and dont say something like trading Erick Dampier for Chris Paul. Please be respectful to others and their opinions. Lets get creative and have some fun while being the GM of any of the NBA teams.

These are a few trades that I would like to see happen. I know both are wishful thinking on my part, but if they somehow do happen, dont say I didnt tell you so. Plus after seeing the Lakers get Pau Gasol for nothing, I can see any possible trade happening.

Los Angeles Lakers trades Adam Morrison and Jordan Farmar to Chicago for Kirk Hinrich.
Why Lakers may do it: They need a starting point guard for the future. I dont see the Lakers bringing Morrison back or paying Farmar anywhere close to mid level money.
Why Bulls may do it: With the summer free agency coming up, they need to shed salary to make a run at Dwyane Wade or Lebron James. Kirk Hinrich has 2 seasons left after this year and has not been productive ever since Derrick Rose was drafted. Both Morrison and Farmar are expiring contracts. Lakers could possibly also toss in a future first round draft pick.

Los Angeles Lakers trades Andrew Bynum to New Jersey for Devin Harris and Brook Lopez.
Why Lakers may do it: Lakers need a starting point guard for the future. Bynum is a health risk and may never live up to team expectations with Kobe, Gasol, Artest, and Odom on this team. Brook Lopez can put up the same numbers that Bynum can.
Why Nets may do it: Nets were in love with the idea of trading Jason Kidd for Bynum 2 seasons ago. With the Nets getting a high draft pick next summer, John Wall is the most likely #1 pick and he is also a point guard. With no one else on the team, Bynum will dominate and easily average 20+ points and 10+ rebounds a game. Lakers could possibly also toss in a future first round draft pick and $3 million.

Actually the Hornets could do that trade with the Mavs Kerwin...lol Dampier has a very big expiring contract, and you know how much the Hornets like to drop there cap number lol..

Ben Gordon for the expiring contract of Erick Dampier, since the season is a loss for Detroit and getting BG was a mistake in the begining, it would give them the cap room to get a max contract of a good player who isnt a ball hog...

Mavs would get a SG better than anyone else they have

I would make trading Luke Walton for anything a priority more than Sasha due to the fact that he has 3 more years left after this season.

Ok after watching the last 4 Lakers games, they are really soft in the middle when it comes to the bench. Nothing against Powell or Mbenga, but they really need a reliable back up big man.

Los Angeles Lakers trades Sasha Vujacic or Adam Morrison to Golden State for Ronny Turiaf.
Why Lakers may do it: They need a reliable defensive backup big man when Gasol and Bynum need to rest or have foul trouble. Turiaf already knows the system and is one of the best energy guys in the NBA. The Lakers never wanted to lose him in the first place. With the improved play of Jordan Farmar and Shannon Brown, Sasha isnt getting to play as many minutes as he has in previous seasons.
Why Warriors may do it: Don Nelson is the coach and obviously defense isnt his main priority. He has no idea what to do with Andris Biedrins or Ronny Turiaf. The team mainly focuses on run and gun and shooting a ton of 3 pointers. Sasha will fit right in chucking up 3 pointers. If they want an expiring contract just to shed salary, they can use the expiring contract of Morrison.
