  • Demar Derozan & Eric Gordon Complete In All Star Dunk In

Demar Derozan & Eric Gordon will compete in the NBA All Star Dunk In Competition to determine the 4th spot in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Derozan and Gordon will get two dunks each during halftime of the Rookie Sophmore Game on Friday February 12th. The winner will be determined by online voting and text messages.

The other 3 dunk participants have not been named. I would think that Eric Gordon is more suited for the 3 Point Contest instead. Lebron, Dwight, and Nate have already declined invitations to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest. I am guessing Josh Smith, Andre Iguodala, and Shannon Brown may be the 3 participants. Josh Smith and Andre Igoudala both got robbed by judge votings in previous contests, so it would be nice to see them compete again.

LeBron hasn't officially declined yet, although I don't see him participating.

No it isn't. There's no incentive for him to do it. It's a lose-lose situation for him.

Yes, because saying something in the heat of the moment is never taken with a grain of salt.....

He said it right after a crazy dunk during the dunk contest a year ago. He rolled his ankle pretty bad in last nights game....why would he commit to doing a dunk contest when he could further hurt himself? Makes no sense.

There's a reason you rarely see superstars in this anymore....the big prize is a Championship, not winning a dunk contest.

Doesn't matter, he said he would, he should...

He has just as good a chance of getting hurt in the ASG then he does the dunk contest...

No, he said "Yea, I think I'll do it next year."

                            Not, "Yes, I'm there. 100%. I promise."

If he doesn't play in the dunk contest, than he shouldn't play in the ASG...

A much better chance of getting hurt in the ASG
