  • How To Fix The Charlotte Bobcats

I see several articles on different sites about how to fix a certain NBA team. I will post a few of these up every week to get members opinion on them. I am mainly going to do some of the lottery teams since it can bring upon some good discussion and laughs.

Obviously there is only one team to start this off with. So here we go.

    Draft History - First Round
    2004 - Emeka Okafor
2005 - Raymond Felton, Sean May
    2006 - Adam Morrison
    2007 - Brandan Wright
    2008 - D. J. Augustin
    2009 - Gerald Henderson
    2010 - None
2011 - Bismack Biyombo, Kemba Walker
    2012 - 2nd Pick

If draft history means anything, the Bobcats will screw up this year too. LOL! They have the 2nd Pick in this year's draft. They got it right with drafting Emeka Okafor and Raymond Felton. They basically let both leave without getting anything in return. Drafting Sean May and Adam Morrison were mistakes. At least they got Jason Richardson out of trading Brandan Wright. D.J. Augustin is a solid pick, but having him and Felton on the same team affected each other. Gerald Henderson is decent. Biyombo is a project. Walker and Augustin play the same position.

The Bobcats do not have a very good team at all. They need to either go with Augustin or Walker, then trade way the other player to get some depth. They should just start over with Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo, and Gerald Henderson. Trade away Augustin, Corey Maggette, and Tyrus Thomas. They need one veteran on the team, which right now is Maggette. Tyrus Thomas barely plays when he should be starting, so its time for him to go too. Their newly signed Head Coach is not going into an ideal situation with this roster.

Easy, make BIYOMBOMANIA the face of the franchise and hope Jordan sells the team.

Fixing the Bobcats is simple....make sure Jordan has ZERO imput on any decisions made about the team.

Fixing the Bobcats means Jordan is in the office every single day (not golfing) and then making a proper decison. Rich Cho is a great GM who will turn this team around eventually, but there isn't one player on the team worth buidling around. Because Walker probably has the most trade value (and the worst fit for any team looking for a starter), they should deal him for another lottery pick which they could probably get.

They should move the team to New Orleans, so they get the 1st pick.
Trading for all Cleveland teams in Cleveland uniforms, Cleveland minor league affiliates & Columbus Bluejackets

Bobcats considering trading down from No. 2 slot - Yahoo! Sports

Just watch, they are going to trade down and mess this up too.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) New Charlotte coach Mike Dunlap says the idea of trading down from the No. 2 spot in the NBA draft to acquire extra picks ''makes a lot of sense'' for a young team like the Bobcats.

After finishing 7-59 and with the worst winning percentage (.106) in NBA history, the Bobcats have a variety of holes to fill this offseason.

              Dunlap recognizes that.

That's one of the reasons he said the Bobcats are taking a ''hybrid thinking'' approach to Thursday night's draft, which means evaluating the talent available at No. 2 while simultaneously looking into the feasibility of moving down and picking up an additional first-round draft pick.

To be honest they cant really mess this one up. There are no great players in this draft past Davis so either Beal, MKG, Barnes, or Robinson would be fine.

Trading Corey Maggette to the Pistons for Ben Gordon and a future 1st Round Pick will help both teams out.

I thought Cho was better than this. Should've traded the pick to Cleveland and gotten T-Rob.

Bobcats drafted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the 2nd Pick. Since they have Gerald Henderson and Ben Gordon already, they should have drafted a Power Forward instead.

So in the last 2 months, the Bobcats have traded Corey Maggette for Ben Gordon, drafted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and signed Ramon Sessions & Brendan Haywood.

They should have just kept Augustin instead of signing Sessions. Gordon, Haywood, and Kidd-Gilchrist can only help the team. Bobcats should be better this season compared to last.
