Trade worked out well for the Rockets. They get a guaranteed lottery pick and get a chance to tank next season, have enough cap room to sign a max free agent like Bynum, and utilize their young talent.

Lakers are not going to let Bynum go into free agency. Plus they can offer him more years and money than anyone else. If anything, Bynum will get traded for Dwight.
