The Miami Heat have agreed to sign free-agent forward Rashard Lewis to a two-year contract, Lewis' agents Tony Dutt and Colin Bryant told Yahoo! Sports.

Lewis will receive the $1.35 million veteran’s minimum next season. The second year of the contract is a player’s option.

How does Miami have the cap space to keep signing these guys?

Veteran Minimum. Every team can sign any veteran of 4 years of experience for $1.4 million regardless of where they are salary cap wise. All teams over the salary cap also have a mini mid level exception of $3 million which is what Ray Allen signed for.
