Blake Griffin injures left knee during Team USA scrimmage; undergoing tests - Yahoo! Sports

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin hurt his left knee in a Team USA scrimmage Wednesday and is returning to Los Angeles to be examined by team doctors.

Griffin twisted the knee in a scrimmage. The severity of the injury is unclear. The Clippers said he will have an MRI and be examined by doctors Thursday and then visit a specialist on Sunday.

Griffin injured the same knee in Game 5 of the Clippers' first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

USA Basketball officials asked New Orleans Hornets rookie forward Anthony Davis, one of Team USA's final cuts last week, to report to training camp.

Really disappointing. He was putting on a great show in practice. One dunk he did was amazing and probably would win any dunk contest.

Its the Clippers curse. LOL! How ironic this happens the day after he signs his $95 million contract extension.
