  • Clippers Sign Matt Barnes

Clippers seem like the team where all ex-Lakers end up. LOL!

CP3 (yes it still counts LOL), Butler, Odom, and now Barnes.

Matt Barnes has agreed upon a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Barnes spent the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barnes had been recruited to the Clippers by Chauncey Billups, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul.

Barnes also received interest from the Miami Heat

          Clippers Sign Matt Barnes

It's official. Matt Barnes is a Clipper.

          From ESPN LA:
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers signed free-agent forward Matt Barnes, the team announced Friday.
Sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne that Barnes received a one-year deal at the veteran minimum of approximately $1.2 million.
Barnes, 32, averaged 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 63 games for the Los Angeles Lakers last season, his second with the team. But he never was fully healthy with the Lakers. Barnes had knee surgery during the middle of the 2011 season, then suffered an ankle injury midway through the 2012 season and a freak neck injury later that affected his performance.
I don't blame Barnes for not wanting to leave Los Angeles. The Lakers didn't want him and the Clippers have a good team. I don't know how much playing time he'll get with Caron Butler, and Grant Hill ahead of him on the depth chart.
