  • Cavaliers Sign Shaun Livington

Hope Livingston can stick with the team. He is a decent back up point guard.

The Cleveland Cavaliers claimed Washington Wizards castoff Shaun Livingston off waivers Tuesday and waived guard Donald Sloan.

Livingston, 27, who was released Sunday by the Wizards, will back up Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving, The Plain Dealer reported in Cleveland.

The Cavs will be the 6-foot-7 Livingston's fifth team in five years. He averaged 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 17 games, including four starts, for the Wizards this season.
