I think it was justified. Williams is developing a reputation as a whiny baby that gets coaches fired. How do you fire a man that was "Coach of the Month" for November? Perhaps it's easy to do when your star player is disgruntled.

The only way he'll ever win a ring is if he goes to a really good team and accepts a role as a bench player. He's just not that good or smart enough.

I've watched quite a few Nets games this season and Deron does not look anything like the same player he was in Utah. He looks slow and out of shape. He'll put up numbers some nights but he's just not the same dynamic player. For some stretches he just seems to disappear from the game altogether.
I don't know if he's injured or just stopped giving a damn but no matter what coach takes over Brooklyn, it won't matter if D-Will is no more than an average point guard now.
