  • Pacers Sign C.J. Watson

    Y! SPORTS

Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird said signing a backup point guard was a priority in the offseason, and it appears the Pacers have one now.

C.J. Watson, who played for the Brooklyn Nets last season, has agreed to a two-year contract with the Pacers, multiple media outlets reported.

Watson, a sixth-year pro who played his college ball at Tennessee, averaged 8.6 points and 1.9 assists in 80 games for the Nets last season.

He is expected to serve as the backup to the Pacers' starting point guard, George Hill.
