Lebron James Changing Jersey Number To #6

Lebron James is changing jersey numbers next season to #6. He says it is to honor Michael Jordan.

Much like when Kobe Bryant changed his jersey number to #24, he sold more jerseys and became the NBA's Top Selling Jersey. This is a similar marketing plan to sell more jerseys.

Why do people think he's 'disrespecting' people by wearing their number? If I wore #6 in my day, and LeBron changed his number to my old number, I'd be honored that a guy of his caliber wants to wear the same number as me.

If it was as 'disrespectful' as some people make it out to be, wouldn't the NBA have a league-wide retirement of that number? Get over it.

He's changing it because he likes the #6 more than he likes the #23. Bottom line.
