  • Joe Dumars Done With Pistons

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/report-...3056--nba.html

Gladdy should be happy. Only so much you can hold onto winning a title 10 years ago. Drafting Darko was bad but they won that year anyways. Trading away Billups for Iverson so you can sign Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva in the offseason was dumb. Same mistake last year with Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith. At least Jennings is decent. If they lose Greg Monroe because of Josh Smith, that is even worse for them in the long run.

Joe Dumars is expected to resign as general manager of the Detroit Pistons.

Dumars, who played for the franchise in a backcourt with Isiah Thomas, became president of basketball operations in 2000 and has been part of the Pistons for 29 years.

Praised for his early work as a roster architect after the team lost centerpiece Grant Hill in Dumars' first offseason in the front office, recent moves have not panned out.
