  • Nets Sign Allen Crabbe To 4 Years $75 Million - Blazers Match

Allen Crabbe signs 4-year, $75 million offer sheet with Nets, according to report

Restricted free agent Allen Crabbe has signed a massive four-year, $75 million offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets that could rise to $83 million if certain incentives are met, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Portland now has three days to match, and this will surely be a tough decision.

The fourth year is a player option, according to CSN Northwest's Jason Quick.

Crabbe is one of the youngest true 3-and-D options on the market, turning 24 just a couple months ago. In three seasons in Portland, Crabbe slowly grew into a quality role player, going from 15 games his rookie year to 81 played last season. Crabbe averaged 10 points in 26 minutes on 46 percent shooting from the field last year while knocking down 39 percent of his shots from behind the arc. He's a good, versatile defender with length and athleticism, too. He was a key player off the bench for Portland, but it may be tough for the Blazers to match his hefty contract.

The Nets are looking at a rebuilding process that will take a few years, so Crabbe makes sense as a young player who can grow with them along with their timeline. Still, almost $19 million per season is a hefty price for Crabbe, a number they had to pay to try to grab him from Portland. Crabbe has the potential to get better, and the Nets are surely counting on that by making him an offer.

The Portland Trail Blazers have matched the four-year, $75 million offer sheet Allen Crabbe signed with the Brooklyn Nets.

Crabbe was a restricted free agent, which gave the Blazers the right to match.

With bonuses, Crabbe's deal he signed with the Nets could reach $83 million. Crabbe's deal includes a player option in Year 4 and a trade kicker.

Crabbe was promised a spot in the Nets' starting lineup.

Crabbe averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26.0 minutes per game while shooting 39.3 percent on three-pointers.
