    Due $10M in 2011, LB Hawk cut by Packers (AP)

    The Green Bay Packers have released linebacker A.J. Hawk after the former first-round pick was scheduled to earn $10 million in 2011. Hawk was one of three players the Super Bowl champions let go along with tight end Donald Lee and safety Derrick Martin. Hawk was the fifth overall pick of the 2006 draft, playing in all 80 regular-season games since then with 77 starts.

              A.J. Hawk....and Frank..DO NOT REPEAT this... but A.J. was one of the greatest to come out of Ohio State!

                    I think they'll grab him back up with a smaller deal.

                    But if they don't, he'd be a HUGE help to the Lions.

                      ESPN is reporting (on Mike and Mike) that A.J. will re-sign as soon as today with the Packers, five year deal, no dollar amount stated.
