I posted this in the Thursday night discussion, but I think this is a great idea (for the fan - not sure if the players would like it).
I wish the NFL would do a Thursday night game every week. They could incorporate it into the bye schedule by having a team not play 2 Sundays in a row, but they would play on the Thursday in between. This way, they would have 10 days or so in between their games.
For example: Sunday Sept 1 game, Sunday Sept 8 (no game), Thursday Sept 12 game, Sunday Sept 15 (no game) Sept 22 game. They got 3 games in four weeks.
