I'm not so sure Smith was the problem. His "fantastic" receiver Crabtree and.......who else did he have....anyways they couldn't separate from a DB to save their lives.

Randy Moss Returns To The NFL With The San Francisco 49ers In A One-Year Deal

Wide Receiver Randy Moss and the San Francisco 49ers haveagreed to terms on a one-year deal. Perhaps the value of my Topps Chrome rainbow has just gone up.

Coach Jim Harbaugh stood in as Quarterback today becausecurrent 49ers can't throw in a workout for the team until the league yearbegins Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST. Harbaugh threw passes to Moss in the workout and clearly Harbaugh was pleasedbecause terms on a one-year deal were completed before the end of the day.

Moss worked out last Tuesday with the New Orleans Saints andword is they were impressed too, but did not proceed further.

Moss retired last year after 13 seasons in the NFL, making waves off the field, saying things he probably shouldn’t have said, bouncing between teams and fighting with Tom Brady overhair length. In spite of his personality that often invited ridicule; there isno denying what he has done on the field of play. Moss is tied for second in NFL history with Terrell Owenshaving caught 153 career touchdowns as a receiver and is fifth in career yardswith 14,858.

Oh yeah I heard Harbaugh was throwing, so Moss really much just ran 10 yard down and outs, 10 yard hooks, and ten yard down and ins. I mean really, that's all Harbaugh's arm can handle.

Glad to see that Moss is back in action. The 49'ers could be a good fit for him.

I hope he is going to use this as motivation. He is now "playing" in Rice's shadow.

Yeah should be a crazy time this offseason. Only thing I'm irritated with the Jags is that there are no talks of them pursuing Vincent Jackson. I know he'd be a huge price, most likely, but well we have over 30 million in cap room for the love of god.

Dante Culpepper is still hanging around in a league out in Sacramento. If it doesn't work in SF, he could go out there and make lots of people in the Bay area relive the old days....

                            Bears Get Marshall

ESPN is reporting that the Bears have traded with Miami for Brandon Marshall.!!!!!! Finally a downfield guy !!!!!!! GO BEARS!!!!!

The Miami Dolphins have traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears for two third-round picks, according to league sources.

The sources said Chicago will send its third-round pick in 2012 and 2013 to Miami for the Pro Bowl wideout.

The trade reunites Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and Marshall, who played together in Denver. Jeremy Bates, who was Cutler and Marshall's offensive coordinator in Denver, is also the Bears' passing game coordinator.

The Bears were in search of a big-play target to complement Cutler. Chicago hasn't had a receiver with a 1,000-yard receiving season in nine years.

Dealing Marshall allows the Dolphins to add to its draft war chest as new coach Joe Philbin attempts to turn Miami around. However, it also deprives the Dolphins of the type of weapon that intrigued free-agent quarterback Peyton Manning.
