Chargers add Jackie Battle to backfield mix

Chargers signed RB Jackie Battle, formerly of the Chiefs.
A hard-charging, straight-line power back, Battle adds depth to a San Diego backfield sorely lacking it behind Ryan Mathews and Ronnie Brown. Battle's addition may spell the end of Curtis Brinkley's Chargers tenure. Turning 29 in October, the career special teamer Battle set career highs in carries (149), rushing yards (597), and touchdowns (2) last season, starting four of 15 appearances in K.C.

I like it. With Tolbert gone the Chargers needed a powerback. I still don't have faith in Mathews when it comes to 3rd and 1 situations.

Nice addition to the backfield

I collect mainly football these days, Maurice Jones Drew, Joe Flacco, Matt Forte, DeMarco Murray, Patrick Willis, Emmitt Smith and 1974 Topps. Baseball Derek Jeter. Basketball Kevin Garnett. Non Sports James Bond, Star Wars, Tomb Raider.
