Phillips or flat-head? I think the refs from the WWE could do a better job. How can the league talk about too much scrutiny being placed on these guys when they are just terrible and it seems like they think throwing more flags makes up for it.

I'm feeling very sad for the Packers today. I almost felt myself caring, NOT! It should have never came down to the last play of the game. If they want to blame someone they can look at thier Running Back.

Refs made bad calls the entire game. The pass interference? by Rice was almost as bad as the final play.

Being a Vikings fan I am glad they lost. But not in that way Carroll and the Seahawks can't be happy with that type of win. To quote Sir Charles, "Turrible just turrible!"

I am going to put my aspect in on this as a football official myself.
                    1. There is no such thing as a perfect called game.
                    2. There was obviously an OPI by Tate that wasn't called but, I'm not even sure the regular officials woudl've called it. On a last play like that many times things like that go on.
                    3. In most cases by rule, a simultaneous catch goes to the offense. The defender did jump up and grasp the ball but Tate did have one hand inside him and the other wrapped around.
                    4. With the speed of the game, that is what we call "bang-bang" and you have to make a judgement in that quick of time. I probably would've made the same call.
                    5. What could've been done better was before signaling touchdown, the two officials get together and discuss what they saw and then make the call. (although, they probably would've been criticized for taking time to discuss it) It is always better to take time and get the right call.

But, for all the critics of the replacements.. Without the replacements, we wouldn't even have football. You don't know how difficult it is and how much time it takes until you actually step on the field and call a game.

This does prove, however, how valuble it is to have experienced officials calling the game.
I am looking for: JJ Watt, Kawhi Leonard, George Springer, Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, Panini Points...

I was an official for 1 year and quit. Got to caught watching the game and not doing my job. But the Tate pushoff and Jennings had it in his chest in total control.

The NFL released a statement Tuesday confirming that the result of Monday night's controversial Seahawks vs. Packers game will stand.
The statement concedes that Golden Tate should have been called for offensive pass interference, but does not dispute the (erroneous) simultaneous possession ruling. "Under the rule for simultaneous catch, the ball belongs to Tate, the offensive player. ... In the end zone, a ruling of a simultaneous catch is reviewable. ... Referee Wayne Elliott determined that no indisputable visual evidence existed to overturn the call on the field, and as a result, the on-field ruling of touchdown stood. The NFL Officiating Department reviewed the video today and supports the decision not to overturn the on-field ruling following the instant replay review. The result of the game is final."

As a fan of both teams, I've gotta throw in my 2¢...

Once upon a time, the Seattle Seahawks called the AFC West their home and the world I lived in was a happy, jolly place. It allowed me to have a favorite AFC team, while also having a favorite NFC team: the Green Bay Packers.

But in 2002, everything changed. The Hawks moved back to the NFC... a place they left 25 years earlier... and chaos and destruction consumed my world.

Okay... maybe I'm exaggerating a little. But I seriously had a major dilemma on my hands. And when the dust settled, I chose to have two favorite NFC teams. I knew it my cause some problems... like what happens when they play each other?

Well... after some discussion and meditation, I came to a simple solution. I'd root for the team who needed my support more at that particular moment. In other words, whoever was in the position to make the best playoff push. But last night, I ran into a problem. Both teams entered Centurylink Field with a 1-1 record and both have a legitimate shot at the playoffs. So what did I do?

                              I cheered for both teams.

But enough beating around the bush. As a fan of both teams, I feel it's my duty to throw in my 2¢.

As a Seahawks fan, I was happy they were able to put themselves in the situation to win. Their defense dominated the first half, played hard, and aren't to blame for how the game unfolded.

As a Packers fan, I'm proud of the way the coach and the team handled themselves for the most part. They came into the 2nd half with a new game plan, worked their tails off, and have every right to be upset at the officials' mistakes.

And as a football fan, I think I'm a pretty patient person. I understand that the zebras are humans and humans make mistakes. But after last night's game, I think it's time for the owners to open up their wallets and give the officials a fair contract. They may not be perfect, but it's pretty obvious that the game isn't the same without them.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to me rant...

Have a happy Tuesday and sayonara!
