Jets put Santonio Holmes on season-ending IR

Jets placed WR Santonio Holmes (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Holmes' Lisfranc fracture will require surgery. Matt Schaub and Darren McFadden proved players can come back from this injury within six months, but the main reason Holmes will be a Jet in 2013 is the $7.5 million guaranteed in his contract.
