Outgoing Browns president Mike Holmgren refused to commit to finishing the season in Cleveland and has not ruled out a return to coaching.
"I'm leaving it open," Holmgren said. "I did miss the coaching thing." Holmgren planned to finish his five-year contract, but he's no longer needed as a liaison to Randy Lerner with new owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner taking over the front office. The 64-year-old Holmgren sports an impressive career record of 272-161 (.592) in 17 years as the head coach of the Packers and Seahawks.
