While the Chiefs dealt with their own feelings about the Jovan Belcher tragedy, the Browns also were suffering.
As first reported by Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, a Browns team employee took his own life on Saturday by hanging himself at the team facility.
The Akron Beacon Journal says the employee's name was Eric Eucker, a member of the team's grounds crew.
"This is a terrible tragedy and our heartfelt condolences go out to Eric's family," the Browns said in a statement, via the Beacon Journal. "Eric was a good friend and colleague, and an outstanding employee. He will be missed by everyone in the Cleveland Browns organization.”
