Jets fired OC Tony Sparano.
Sparano didn't have much talent at his disposal, but didn't show a shred of creativity as Mark Sanchez regressed and the Jets sunk to 28th in points per game and 30th in yards. ESPN's Trent Dilfer characterized Sparano's scheme as a "spitball offense" that served to accentuate Sanchez's weaknesses. Sparano has now been fired twice in the last two years -- once as head coach of the Dolphins after four seasons and once in New York after just one year. Head coach Rex Ryan remains safe, and he reportedly has Norv Turner and Cam Cameron on top of the list to replace Sparano.
