  • Eli: I would restructure my contract for Cruz

Eli Manning said he'd consider restructuring his contract if it helped get restricted free agent Victor Cruz signed.
Manning signed a seven-year, $106.9M contract in 2009, while Cruz is owed a meager $2.879M under his one-year tender. There seems to be a lot of angst in New York over the possibility of losing Cruz, but no team has been even rumored to be preparing an offer sheet and we'd be surprised if someone stepped to the plate. The last time an RFA tendered at the first-round level changed teams in free agency was Laveranues Coles 10 years ago.
