ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Packers and Aaron Rodgers are "getting closer" to a long-term contract extension.
This confirms an earlier PFT report that a deal could be done before the draft. With Joe Flacco getting $20.1 million annually this offseason, the starting point for negotiations has already been set. Rodgers is expected to be seeking a contract in the range of $23-$25M per season. His current deal has two years left.
