Texans FS Ed Reed underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a small labral tear in his hip last week.
Reed will miss OTAs, but he's expected to be ready for training camp. "It's something we'll have to work through," said coach Gary Kubiak. "We'll get him healthy, and he should be fine." The 34-year-old has missed just 16 games in his 11-year career. Second-round pick D.J. Swearinger will get valuable reps while Reed is out of commission. Because of his age and history of hip problems, Kubiak would be smart to take it easy on Reed until the season.
