Lions re-signed TE Brandon Pettigrew to a four-year, $16 million contract.
The deal includes $8 million guaranteed. Pettigrew, 29, was our No. 2 tight end left on the market, behind Jermichael Finley. He had been drawing significant interest from the Jets, and to a lesser extent the Raiders and Chiefs. Pettigrew isn't a playmaker at the tight end position but is a decent red-zone option and a try-hard blocker.
