Cardinals ILB Daryl Washington has been sentenced to one year of probation for aggravated assault.
Washington was accused of choking the mother of his daughter, causing her to fall and break a collarbone. He pleaded guilty and now that the case has been closed, commissioner Roger Goodell can step in with discipline via the league's Personal Conduct Policy. We fully expect him to do so, likely with a multi-game ban. The Cardinals played without Washington for the first four games of last season due to a substance-abuse policy suspension, going 2-2. They went 8-4 after getting their dynamic, difference-making inside 'backer on the field.
