To my fellow forum members,
I was extremely shocked by the fact that Johnny "Football" Manziel was the 22nd. overall pick. My perception was that after Jadaveon Clowny, Manziel would be the next pick in the 2014 Draft. I had an out of body experience when the Cleveland Browns not only traded up to the spot but to actually draft Manziel.
All forum members know that I'm a fan of all 32 NFL teams. The purpose of this statement is that I've seen the Cleveland Browns fan base consistently disappointed year in and year out. I not only wish great success for the other 31 NFL teams, I wish and hope for the Cleveland Browns that this draft with Manziel can not only bring life and excitement back to such a storied franchise, but to simply achieve a decent 8-8 season, something that has not been accomplished in a very long time.
I've researched the great Browns era with the likes of legendary players Otto Graham, Jim Brown, and Coach Paul Brown to name a few playmakers. The many pre-Super Bowl championship games won by them is staggering.
I hope for the best for the Browns, and I also hope that this years collecting season brings in excitement and a renewal of the chase.
