  • Your thoughts on Tri Star Signa Cuts...

I just sent an email to Beckett asking why they do not list these cards online. they are not licensed by NFLPA but neither id SportKings and all their cards are listed. Waiting on a response.
In the mean time I'd like to get feedback from you guys on this product. Looking at eBay their prices are pretty reasonable. I've been thinking of picking up a few more but am hesitant because Beckett doesn't list them. Do they consider them posters/cards that have been signed and cut and not worthy of having a value? I figure Tri Star is a legit auto distributor and am very curious why Beckett has shunned them. Here is the one I have... It's ser #141/150

I'm not sure why Beckett does not list this card. The same holds true for other cut signature products in that they are not listed as well. I have a 2014 Leaf Legends of The Gridiron Cut Signature Dual Auto of Archie Griffin & John David Crow of which is not listed as well. These cards are always 1/1, so they do not price 1/1's. I can only assume that this would be a good reason to not list cards from this genre.
I am easy, I collect any and all NFL cards. Individual players I really enjoy are Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Russell Wilson. My passion is Favre rookie cards and vintage cards.

This is my 1/1 from Leaf. These type of cards are very unique in the hobby. If you can find a card like this for a resonable cost, I don't see it as an obstruction to your collection but a really great specialty product. Very nice addition to your collection and good luck in your future purchases of cut signatures!

I have a Golden Richards auto. The only thing I can think of is that keeps them from being legitimized is that they pull the autos from other sources. I saw a Luke Kuechly cut auto where they actually cut the top off a Crown Royale card and kept just the auto. Even yours, Triplets you can tell it's from a photo they cut. The Richards I have is the same thing. I'm not opposed to them per se, if they had a Walter Payton auto, I'd probably get one until I could get something nicer but I'm not going to throw down decent money for them. I wish they'd just stick to the helmets & the photos. those look nice!
        -Brady

Looking for mainly Cowboys, Andy Dalton

Thanks guys. I'll post their response they send me (if they do) on here so maybe we will know whether or not to pursue more of these cards. I really like a Randy White cut auto online, but think I'll wait to see what Beckett says...
