Yahoo! Sports' Rand Getlin reports Tony Romo has agreed to restructure his contract, clearing "nearly" $13 million in cap space for the Cowboys.
Prior to this move, the Cowboys were right up against the cap with ILB Rolando McClain's new one-year, $3 million deal set to hit the books. Romo is likely converting most of his $17 million salary into a "signing" bonus. Romo previously said he'd take a pay cut so Dallas could re-sign DeMarco Murray. Maybe he'd do the same for an Adrian Peterson addition, though that seems unlikely at this point.
